Dr. Zandani has worked with computers since the 1980s, starting on IBM 286 machines at the Department of Education, then spent years as a teacher, staff developer and the district's director of technology, building technology labs and running iMac labs. He is an Apple-certified technician and has run MACPC NYC, an Apple Independent Repair Provider in Brooklyn, since 2012. The core of his work has always been teaching and learning, and he has always wanted to own the hardware.
Julian has spent his career at the intersection of accounting and software, starting in tax and audit with four years at KPMG and four at PwC. As a solutions architect in boutique consulting, he led software implementations for large SaaS companies, building the pipeline end to end, from the general ledger in SAP and Oracle to the Schedule K-1. He then went to a startup and built BoltBeam, the open-source inference auditor that benchmarks every workstation we ship.
